Common questions

Before you book.

Do I need a GP referral for a private cardiology appointment?

Self-pay patients can enquire directly. Some insurers require a GP referral or authorisation, so please check with your insurer before the appointment.

Which London clinic should I choose?

The Wellington and St John & St Elizabeth are convenient for St John’s Wood and Hampstead; Hendon serves North West London; One Welbeck is central near Harley Street. The secretary can help match location and availability.

Can you review palpitations recorded by a smartwatch?

Wearable recordings can be useful context. Bring or send the available ECG traces and reports, but they need to be interpreted alongside your symptoms and clinical assessment.

How much is a private consultation?

A new consultation is £300 and a follow-up is £200. Tests or hospital charges, if recommended, are separate and should be confirmed with the relevant provider.

Which languages are available?

Consultations are available in English and Italian, with limited Gujarati.
